Team Computers is demonstrating how India’s rural regions can become viable hubs for enterprise IT delivery through its Global Delivery Centre (GDC) Tatva in Almora, Uttarakhand.
The centre has transitioned from a pilot initiative into an operational delivery hub supporting live enterprise IT operations. Its first cohort of 20–25 professionals from the Almora region completed an intensive 6–12-month technical training programme and was subsequently certified and hired by Team Computers.
The engineers were trained across critical enterprise IT domains, including cloud infrastructure management, network engineering and security, database administration, end-user support, and backup, recovery and storage solutions. They now support enterprise environments as L0 and L1 specialists while operating against the same standards applied across Tier-1 technology centres.
GDC Tatva reflects a broader approach to addressing talent saturation and attrition in major technology hubs by creating opportunities closer to where skilled professionals live. The model aims to build a sustainable, locally anchored workforce while delivering enterprise-grade IT services.
Team Computers plans to explore replicating this decentralised delivery model across other locations in India, reinforcing the potential of rural talent to contribute to the country’s evolving IT ecosystem.
